Touring caravan and motorhome parks, tent campsites, certificated sites and glamping operations running pods, safari tents, shepherd's huts and hot tubs. There were around 6,169 holiday parks and campsites with 439,828 pitches across the UK in 2023, of which 4,754 parks and 320,901 pitches were in England, and 5.8 million camping, glamping and touring trips were taken in 2024. These are mostly seasonal, heavily electric led sites where a single hook up rate change can wipe out a season's margin.
