Laundries handling bed linen, towels and personal items for hotels, guest houses, care homes and nursing homes, whether run on-premises inside the building or as a dedicated linen laundry serving several sites. Hotel and care linen typically runs at three to five kilograms per occupied room or bed per night, so bed numbers and occupancy drive the load. Sanitising wash temperatures and infection-control requirements mean the temperature cannot simply be turned down, making contract price the main lever available.

Split the laundry off onto a sub-meter even if it stays on one supply. Once you can see the laundry load separately you can argue for a tariff shaped around it.
Fit a flatwork ironer with a heat recovery hood if you are running sheets in volume. Ironing exhaust is some of the hottest air you throw away.
Spread changeover washing across the week where housekeeping allows, rather than dumping everything into a Saturday morning peak.
Keep barrier and sanitising cycles hot but move towels, staff uniforms and non-clinical items onto a lower-temperature chemistry programme.
If you serve several sites, get all the meters quoted together as a portfolio. Volume on a single contract usually buys a better unit rate than three separate small ones.
